Most Ahmedabad grounds sell entry in tiers, and the published "from" price is always the lowest one. The tiers are not usually explained on the listing, which is why people arrive expecting a position near the stage and find themselves at the edge of the circle.
Here is what the categories generally mean and how to work out which one you actually want.

For dancing, rarely. The best part of the circle at an open ground is wherever the dhol carries cleanly, which is not always the premium zone. Higher categories mainly buy you a guaranteed position, somewhere to leave your things, and shorter queues — all genuinely useful across a long night, just not the same thing as a better floor.
Groups are the one case where reserved consistently beats general. A fixed area means everyone finds each other, bags stay in one place, and people can rotate on and off the floor without losing the group. For anything above six people, ask for reserved or group pricing rather than buying general entry individually.
